Clear strategy for more sustainability
Bosch’s sustainability strategy is based on concrete objectives in all focus areas. We have for many years now been consistently working to realize those objectives — and we have reached a first key milestone with carbon neutrality.*
We see sustainability as the balance between the economic, ecological and social dimensions of our business activities as part of responsible corporate governance.
We have summarized the focal points of our sustainability management in the “New Dimensions — Sustainability 2025” target vision. It describes six topic areas that set the framework for our activities in the coming years.
Climate action at Bosch
The Bosch Group with more than 400 locations worldwide has been climate neutral (scopes 1 and 2) since 2020. But that's not all: we want to shape climate action beyond our immediate sphere of influence and systematically reduce upstream and downstream emissions (scope 3), which we aim to reduce by 15 percent by 2030.

* Since 2020, the Bosch Group with its more than 400 locations worldwide has been climate neutral (scopes 1 and 2). The climate neutrality was achieved by using four levers: increasing energy efficiency, generating energy ourselves from renewable sources (new clean power), purchasing electricity from renewable sources (green electricity), and — as the last resort — using carbon credits to offset remaining CO₂ emissions. In 2022, remaining emissions of 0.7 million metric tons of CO₂ were offset by carbon credits. Scopes 1, 2, and 3 are used in accordance with the .
